Accessibility

The Layer 8 Conference aims to make everything about the conference as inclusive as possible. The 2026 conference is being held at the George Sherman Union building at Boston University. This location meets the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

For those with additional requirements that are not mentioned here, we ask that you reach out to the organizers with questions about how we can better meet needs to make the conference a positive experience for all.

The rooms have overhead fluorescent lighting and do not intend to have any colored or flashing lights.

The sound for the speakers will be kept at a level for attendees to hear the presentations. The presentations may include pre-recorded audio but should remain at the same volume level. The vendors and lunch area is an open ballroom that should only have normal conversation level volume of sounds.

For those that need space to recharge, the conference has a private area dedicated. Please see the conference organizer for access to this space.

The conference has a history of giving out foam stress balls to all attendees as free swag, and will be doing the same in 2026.

If there are any other questions, those can be directed to Patrick@Layer8Conference.com or to a volunteer (wearing orange shirts) during the conference.
